The Vision of Arthouse Roermond
Gallery owner Marie-Thérèse Schlösser indicates that the idea to start an Arthouse actually came out of nowhere. "I hadn't thought about it before, until I had a conversation with a fellow artist. Then I thought: 'Why not?'"
That's how it all started. A space was found fairly quickly, a large building on Kloosterwandstraat in Roermond near the Oranjerie. A prime location in the center that still needed a good renovation. The interior has undergone a thorough transformation. The open and high space is now extremely suitable for showcasing art to its full potential.
Arthouse Roermond aims to distinguish itself from other galleries in terms of hospitality and high-level art.
Every quarter, part of the artworks and exhibiting artists are renewed. There is also room for emerging talent and workshops. It should become a dynamic event that will be inaugurated with a beautiful opening exhibition during the Pentecost weekend of 2025.
During the Pentecost weekend of 2025, Arthouse Roermond will open its doors.
The opening exhibition will be on display throughout the summer. After that, a portion of the art collection will be renewed every quarter.
